Synology products can act as an iTunes Server. After enabling the iTunes Service on the Network Services > iTunes page of the Disk Station Manager, you will be able to launch iTunes installed on your Windows or Mac computer to browse music on the Synology product.

Moreover, you can create playlists on the Disk Station Manager, as you did on iTunes. Just go to the Network Services > iTunes page and click on Smart Playlist. Then follow the instructions in the wizard to create an iTunes playlist.
