DiskStation Manager 2.3 (hereafter referred to as DSM 2.3) is the key to maximizing your NAS experience. Included with all Synology products, DSM 2.3 was developed using AJAX technology to provide unprecedented usability, reliability, and performance. DSM 2.3 boasts intuitive and feature-rich applications, simplifying and automating otherwise complicated and time-consuming tasks.

Besides basic network storage and backup features which most NAS provide, DSM 2.3 offers a wealth of features to store, share, and secure your data. DSM 2.3 features several applications, including: Surveillance Station 4, Photo Station 4, File Station 3, Audio Station 2, iTunes® Server, Download Station 2, and many more. These features allow you to share files globally, publish photos and videos online, host personal or company websites, stream music, safeguard your home or office, and even access your data through Synology iPhone® apps. With more features always being added through free firmware updates, DSM 2.3 remains the benchmark for NAS capability.
