Synology Expansion Unit

For businesses or power users, the large amounts of data typically exchanged in a day calls for a long-term, flexible, storage expansion solution. Unique to Synology, the DX510 and RX4 expansion units provide an additional 5 and 4 bays of drive availability. Connect an expansion unit to a compatible Synology DiskStation with a provided locking eSATA cable and the volume can be managed within DSM 2.3. This plug-n-use connectivity and eSATA 3.0 GB/sec definition allows you to expand an existing volume on the Synology DiskStation, or create an independent volume for backup and storage.
