Windows, Mac, Linux

DiskStation Manager 2.3 offers several flexible options for data storage and sharing among Windows®, Mac, and Linux clients. Windows users can access the server via SMB/CIFS (Windows My Network Places) and FTP, Mac users via SMB, FTP, and AFP, while Linux users via SMB, FTP, and NFS. UTF-8 support allows users to share files in different languages across operating systems.

CIFS Network Recycle Bin

When the CIFS Recycle Bin is enabled, files deleted via CIFS protocol will be automatically moved into the CIFS Recycle Bin.
