Synology has a wide range of products that can fit users who have different needs for storage and network applications. The 2-dimention graph below illustrates how each product is positioned in Synology product line.

The first column from the left of the graph contains 1-bay models of the Disk Station Series, among which DS-106j is the only IDE model, and DS108j, and DS107, and DS107+ are SATA models.

The second column contains the 2-bay models DS207 and DS207+.

The third column contains 4-bay models, among which CS407e and CS407 are from the Cube Station Series, and RS407 is the Hot-Swappable rack mount model.

The performance of the models increases from the bottom row of the graph to the top. Each row demonstrates an upgrade of computing power. You will see the entry model DS-106j in the first row, and the upgraded model CS407e in the second row.

In the next row there are high-end Disk Station models DS107 and DS207.

Up to the top row you will find the models with extremem performance, DS107+, DS207+, CS407, and RS407.
