Synology Opened the Data Replicator 3 Beta Program

Taipei, Taiwan—October 4, 2007—Synology today announced the beta program for the new Data Replicator: Synology Data Replicator 3 (DR 3). Developed based on Synology Data Replicator II (DR II), DR 3 provides more convenience and flexibility in backup task implementation. New features and enhancements include locked-files backup, unrestricted backup targets support, e-mail notification, and multilingual user interface: Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian.

Data Replicator is a Windows based backup utility. It allowed PC user to back up desktop data automatically to Synology Products also any accessible location, including attached drive or network drive. It supports Immediate backup, Schedule backup, and Synchronization. Any monitored file will be saved in the target as a new version upon file change. In addition, it has a convenient shortcut for users to backup Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Mail. PC backup is now with more freedom.
