Synology 2007 April Firmware Release Update

Taipei, Taiwan—April 14, 2007—Synology has released new firmware, v.0459, for all of the Cube Station and the Rack Station models, and v.0458 for the Disk Station DS-106j.

For CS407e, CS407, and RS407, the v.0459 firmware has improved system reliability when copying large data to the system. It also enhances the FTP connection when the system is behind NAT.

For CS-406e, CS-406, and RS-406, the v.0459 firmware includes all improvements for the x07 models, as well as new features such as iTunes Server, HTTPS connection, and the web-based Download Manager.

DS-106j is the first model of the Disk Station series included in the April new firmware release. Users who upgraded their DS-106j to the latest firmware, v.0458, will now be able to use the web-based Download Manager and the iTunes Server.
