Just recently bought a DS209+ and god, this is the best buy I've done for several years. After almost have chosen one of your concurrent solution, i've read more on the internet especially on SmallNetBuilder.com and changed my mind for a DS209+. After 3 months with it I'm totally delighted with that product. As it is for it's performances or the fact that it's so silent, this product is five stars period.

"I've been very pleased with my trusty 106e. Got one at home, and one for network backup in a remote location. Works reliably, and Synology's never-ending quest for improvement gives more and more features. Their boxes are so much more than "just" a NAS."
"I just got myself a 209+, and DAMN it's fast! :) My tests indicate even better performance than Syno's promoting figures."
"Also, I like the concept of people choosing the HD size they need. Just make sure to check Syno's compatibility chart for suitable devices, both internally and external. Also, their user forum is a great way to learn."

| "Just wanted to provide you with some feedback on your product DS207+. I've been using it for a year or two now and it was great when I bought it. But with all this new functionality and improvements that you keep bringing me in the free software upgrades, this is absolutely one of the best technical device I have at home right now, toghether with my Sonos multiroom audiosystem. These systems (yours and Sonos) are the kind that you talk about and recommend to all your collegues, friends and relatives that need, might need or don't know that they need this sort of device. The hardware is also sleek and elegant, but it's the fast user-friendly interface together with all the stuff you can accomplish with it that's the best. I wish I could get everyone I know to buy a Synology NAS!" |

I just installed the DMS 2.0 on my 101j and it is really nice that you continously work with upgrading your softwares and that they are free to download. Keep up the great work, I always tell my friends who are about to buy a NAS that your software and hardware are working really nice and it's even easier now :-)
