Group Apps on Desktop

Create shortcuts on desktops for apps, sub-folders, and any file you like. When the desktop becomes cluttered, arrange them into groups to stay efficient. Name the groups to anything you like, as long as you can spot them easily.

Instant View on Task Bar

Instant Preview is a great help when you have too many windows open and you don’t know which one is which. Mouse over one of the icons on your DSM any other app that you have running. Simply click on the thumbnail preview so you may once again view the interface of the apps in full screen.

Click to Show Desktop

Having too many programs running at the same time may cause a messy desktop. Here you need the Show Desktop button in the upper-left corner to clear the screen. Although the desktop is swiped clean, the applications are still running in the background. To restore instant access to these applications, the same button can also bring all the application back to the desktop in the order they were opened.

Pilot View Desktop Status

One click and all your currently running apps can be seen in one place. So when you are multitasking – listening to music, looking for an app to download, and starting a backup task, working on your separate file windows and a dozen of other things – you can quickly find the one task that you are looking for.

You always want to keep an eye on your system status. DSM makes it quick and easy with a simple click. With the new widgets you can monitor all kinds of things – like system health, logs, backup status, storage and resource usage, as well as active connections – right in one place. And if you want to launch a relevant app, say Resource Monitor, just click on the icon and the widget will be updated instantly.
