Index Multimedia Folders

Synology Media Server comes with three system default folders for you to sort all digital contents, yet you are free to create more. You can index the folders and sub-folders within DiskStation so DLNA media players can quickly identify and stream within. Folders from the external drives can also be indexed for streaming.

PS3 & Xbox 360 Support

DiskStation can be paired up with Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 to act as a digital media adapter device. It is compatible with multimedia formats that are supported by the two devices. You can now browse and stream multimedia contents stored on DiskStation to stereo system and TV set with your most familiar devices.
