Directory Server offre il servizio LDAP con il controllo centralizzato dell'accesso, autenticazione e gestione dell'account. Il iTunes Server consente di condividere la musica e i video su DiskStation con tutti i client iTunes in una rete locale, di sfogliare e riprodurre questi contenuti multimediali con iTunes. Il iTunes Server offre le funzioni Smart Playlist, consentendo di creare elenchi di riproduzione contenenti canzoni che corrispondono ai criteri specificati.
