Never Miss Anything from Work

Synology has a full-range notifications service that can help businesses know exactly what’s going on in their DiskStation at all times.

  • Select from 66 different types of notification events
  • Customize message and get notified via SMS and email
  • Push service is available on mobile devices1 and Skype

Push Service

Synology’s push service allows you to receive push notification on mobile devices and Skype. Setting up is easy. For Skype just type in your account information in DSM’s Notification page. For mobile devices, simply install DS finder to pair up with your DiskStation. So when one of your hard drives fail to work, or a schedule backup task doesn’t go through, you’ll receive instant notification.

SMS

You can choose to receive notification via SMS. Simply choose a SMS service provider , or add your own provider, and enter your account information, as well as your phone number to receive instant alert. To help you cut down SMS cost, you can also set a minimum interval limit between messages.

E-Mail

E-mail notification is another way to receive system alerts. Input information on your SMTP server and login credentials, and the setup is done. You can also enable SSL/TLS secure connection to give you extra layer of protection, or setup a secondary e-mail inbox as your backup.
